Underground 2 in Unreal Engine 5 - This fan remake makes it possible
is one of the most popular parts of the racing series, but is now 20 years old. So it's no wonder that the game that we were able to play on PlayStation 2, Xbox and all sorts of other "retro consoles" is now a bit outdated.
A fan named “2Unreal5Underground” has therefore taken it upon himself to rebuild the game in the Unreal Engine. OnDiscordhe presents his work and also gives everyone the opportunity to try out the fan remake for themselves in a demo.

As you can see, you are not allowed to have a graphic in the projector similar modern titles, but for a 1-person project the result is quite impressive - and it certainly looks better than the original.

But 2Unreal5Underground has adopted the original engine and driving sounds from the game.
Need for Speed: Underground 2 introduced the so-called “free ride” mode for the first time, in which we could race freely through the fictional city of Bayview. There were also an incredible number of tuning options and of course a wonderful driving experience.
