My Hero Academia creator has another ace up his sleeve and surprises fans with a very final epilogue to the story

We get another, final glimpse into the lives of Deku and Co. after the big finale.

My Hero Academiawas completed in August 2024 after ten years with the last chapter 430. The mangaka Kohei Horikoshi has ended the story about protagonist Izuku Midoriya and his classmates with a chapter that takes a look into the future in the style of an epilogue. Now there will be an epilogue that expands this look into the future by even more pages.

The last MHA manga volume gets an epilogue

The original preview in Chapter 430 shows you a glimpse into the lives of Deku and Co. eight years after the events of My Hero Academia and paints a possible picture of what their lives could be like.

Accordingly, the 42nd and final volume of My Hero Academia will be released in Japan on December 4, 2024 and brings a total of 38 pages of new content.

It is currently unclear when exactly volume 42 will be released. But you'll have to wait a while for the German-language version, as the previous volume 41 was only announced for July 29, 2025.
