This is the roadmap for the upcoming content until mid-2025
Gameloft has presented the roadmap for the end of 2024 to mid-2025. There will be free and paid updates again. So everyone without DLC will get four updates by summer 2025, while the second DLC will appear in two parts.
This is what you can expect with the upcoming content:

Gameloft has presented the roadmap until the end of 2024 and promises all kinds of content that awaits you with free updates and also via paid expansions. In addition to Tiana, Timon and Pumba from The Lion King and Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas are also joining us.
This is in the August update (Update 12)
The new roadmap also starts immediately with an update in August. In addition to the third and final act for the first paid expansion, there is also another free update. This brings Princess Tiana and her new restaurant to your village.

As usual, next year there will be new characters, realms and much more, which you will receive completely free of charge. The roadmap for this looks like this:
This is in the June 2024 update (Update 11)
Dreamlight Valley will once again receive another update in June 2024. This will be completely limited to free content. The focus is on two new characters from a popular Disney film: Mulan and Mushu. The warrior together with her loyal dragon have their own kingdom that you can discover. After completing the quests, you can invite them to your village as always.

This is in the May 2024 update (Update 10)
Two updates await you in May. With Daisy Duck and her boutique there is new content for everyone who plays the game without the DLC. In addition, the second act of A Rift in Time also comes into play, which not only adds a new area but also a new character. Look forward to Oswald the rabbit.
This is in the February/March 2024 update (Update 9)
The first major update in 2024 brings innovations for everyone and can therefore be played completely without an expansion pass. A new door awaits you that leads into the Monster AG empire. Sully and Mike are waiting for you there, who are the most important new characters in the update. But Scrooge's shop is also being refined again and there is not only more selection that rotates better, but also a higher limit on how much you can buy daily via the catalog.
Update 8 brings multiplayer (December 5th)
The next big update will be released on December 5th and not only brings Christmas spirit into the game with Jack Skellington from Tim Burton's 'The Nightmare Before Christmas', but also multiplayer. This allows us to play together online with up to three other people and to visit each other's valleys and shop there. But it shouldn't stay that way. The developers emphasized that they want to further expand the multiplayer mode in the future.
In addition, there are at least four other major content updates awaiting us:
- Early spring 2024:Another character comes to the Valley. He or she lives on a ship and certainly not coincidentally has Daisy as a figurehead.
- Late spring 2024:A new kingdom awaits behind a new door. What and who is behind it was not revealed. The cherry blossoms and the comment "You don't find an empire like this in every dynasty." but should already be understood as a hint. Maybe it has something to do with China and therefore with Mulan?
- Sommer 2024:Tiana, the princess from 'Kiss the Frog', has already been confirmed for the twelfth update. There are also new recipes from 'Encanto'.
This is the roadmap for paid content in 2023/2024
In addition to the still free content, there is also the first expansion “A Rift in Time”. This will also start on December 5th, 2023 with Act 1 and brings new characters, three exclusive biomes and a new villain.
The story of the expansionis about Jafar from Aladdin, the fabric of time and a relic he wants to steal. The plot is divided into three acts:
- Act 1 (December 5, 2023):Rapunzel, Gaston (Beauty and the Beast) and Eve (Wall-E) are introduced as new characters who are part of the new story. This also means that you can set up Rapunzel's tower, for example.
- Act 2 (Spring 2024) & Act 3 (Summer 2024):Two more, as yet unspecified characters are added. The new tool, the Royal Hourglass, also plays an important role in closing time rifts.

What's new?With the new September update, Dreamlight Valley is finally getting another big update after thatbecame. This opens a new kingdom in your village and includes Belle and the Beast. In addition, there is a star path with Halloween items and a premium quest for the human form of Ursula.

This is in the July update (Update 6)
When will the update appear?On July 19, 2023 at 3 p.m. German time.
What's new?With Update 6, which goes by the name “DreamSnaps”, a function with exactly this name is added. Through these you can earn moonstones by participating in weekly photo competitions.
There is also a new resident. Because Vanellope from Ralph's Enough is finally at the start and comes with a sweet house.

What happens next for Dreamlight Valley?Update 6 is exceptionally a smaller update, which is why there won't be a new star path until September.
From September 2023, Belle will finally come into play and you can discover a new realm. There is also a Halloween star trail. More characters, multiplayer, a royal tool and much more are planned for the following months.

What's new?The biggest innovation is clearly the story update. The patch is also called “The Remembering”. So it seems to be about deeply closed memories that have long been forgotten.
The fairy godmother from Cinderella has been confirmed as a new character so far. But the picture also shows a tree house with a human silhouette. So maybe a Disney prince or Zac Efron and Vanessa HudgensHigh School Musical? We'll know soon. There is also a new star path. This focuses on content related to Pixar films.

This is Disney Dreamlight Valley
Disney Dreamlight Valley has been in Early Access since September 6, 2022. Anyone who buys the Founders Pack for 30 euros or has the Game Pass can now immerse themselves in Disney fantasy on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch and PC. From December 5th, 2023, the price has been increased by 10 euros and the game is also available on Apple Arcade and also has a retail version with all sorts of goodies.
No more Free2Play: What has been canceled, however, are the plans for a free version of the game. Gameloft and Disney have decided to continue offering the game as a premium title and to continually develop it further with both free and paid updates.
