For the fifteenth time in a row, Metacritic has chosen the best publisher of the year. Neither counts how often the respective games of a publisher could sell, nor the user score. For the ranking, only the registered critic ratings count on pages such as IGN, GameSpot, Kotaku or GamePro.
Particularly exciting in the 2024 ranking:The winner sets up a new record. Never before has a publisher made it three times in 1st place. And before you start to puzzle, Sony with Astro Bot or Capcom with Dragon's Dogma 2 must be beaten this year.

With an averageMetacore of 78.8 pointsthe US publisher Aksys Games makes it to third place. The company specializes in the localization of Japanese games and is one of the rather unknown publishers in this country with titles such as Spirit Hunter: Death Mark 2.
Platz 2: Capcom
In this country, however, no unknown publisher is Capcom, on the other hand, with a total of nine published games in a total of nineMetacore of 82.1 pointscome. It was not enough for a 90s title, but at itFor a remarkable average ranking of 88.
1st place: Sega
