Place again on two main characters that also differ on the gameplay. Where Yasuke is rather strong and heavily equipped, but is not very subtle, Naoe puts attacks on sneaking and nimble attacks.
Although we can switch freely between the two, the game should not force us to do so. In fact, we can even choose to play one of the two almost exclusively and hardly miss anything.
You can choose whether you want to play Yasuke or Naoe
In an interview withScreenrantGame director Jonathan Dumont also spoke about the main character duo. He explains that he himself switches back and forth every few hours while playing to have more variety.
At the same time, he recommends players to simply play the character with which they have the most fun. He emphasizes several times that we miss nothing or little:
"I don't think you miss too much. I think it's more about preference, if you say: 'Okay, I want to see how the game adapts when you choose one character instead of the other.' [...] So I guess that you can change for gameplay reasons, you can change if you think that you prefer a character, but I don't think you miss something.
It's more about having fun playing with the game and gambling as you want. There will also be a few decisions here and there, where I wonder what would have happened to another character. But nothing will be missing. "
At the same time, the director also explains that we cannot play one character 100 percent. So Naoe and Yasuke each get their own introduction and a personal questline that we can only play with them.
How much of the game we can play with just one of the protagonists did not want to call Dumont. But it should be "a fairly large proportion of the game".
In addition, our choice of Naoe or Yasuke does not mean that we never get the other character to see. An important part of the story should also be their relationship with each other. You first have to learn to work together. No matter whether we change regularly or choose Naoe or Yasuke, we experience the story of the two either way.
Which gameplay do you feel about: massive battles, silent sneaking or a mix of both?
