Let you explore the feudal Japan with Naoe or Yasuke. Both characters can unlock a variety of skills, knowledge in the game.

Knowledge ranks and knowledge points
Skilltree:In Shadows there is not the one large skills tree in which we unlock knowledge. Naoe and Yasuke each have their own, divided into six categories each.
Knowledge points:Each skill costs different many knowledge points, which you mainly receive by completing missions. Naoe and Yasuke both receive their own knowledge points, which you can use independently of one another for skills - and even reset free of charge.
- Passive skills (round symbols) automatically run or switch new possibilities, we have to actively carry out.
- Active skills (square symbols) are special skills that we can assign to the four slots. To use them, we first have to charge our adrenaline.
Knowledge points:The skills or knowledge you can unlock is determined by knowledge rank. There are a total of six knowledge ranks in the game. To rise, you have to earn knowledge points. This works for Naoe and Yasuke at the same time. How many knowledge points you need for the next knowledge rank will be shown in the knowledge menu.
You get knowledge points for very specific tasks that are marked on the map orange. These are, for example, exploring temples, the locking of Kuji-Kiris (meditations) or challenges in mounted archery.
The best knowledge of Yasuke
While Naoe is better suited for sneaking, Yasuke is doing better in direct confrontations. He has a total of six skill trees, one for the five types of weapons and a general "Samurai" tree. We show you the most important knowledge of skill trees.

Yasuke sprints forward and spoils an opponent. Can be reinforced at knowledge rank 4 and 5 so that several opponents can be impaled.

Attacks can be carried out faster in succession. Can be improved to knowledge rank 2 and 5, which significantly increases the pace of attack and the damage.
