Saber Interactive has released the brand new Obelisk update for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 - the game's largest patch to date.
The successful third-person action title Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has now received the new Obelisk update - the largest content update for the title to date. This brings with it a new map that is intended to provide high replay value in Operations mode, a new chaos opponent, a large Dark Angels cosmetic pack for season pass owners and more.
The eponymous new operation "Obelisk" is available for free and takes you back to the world of the dead of Demerium. You will also have to face the Enlightened Tzaangor and avoid his attacks as he moves across the battlefield on his Disk of Tzeentch. This new enemy will now be found in every PvE operation with the Thousand Sons.
Season pass owners receive the “Dark Angels Chapter Pack” on top. There is the new champion skin for the Bulwark class, three weapon skins for the plasma pistol, the auto bolt rifle and the power sword and a new storm shield skin.
The Obelisk update also includes a whole range of technical improvements. The game has been optimized for the PS5 Pro and now runs at up to 60 fps in performance mode and at 30 fps in quality mode, which now enables upscaled 4K resolution thanks to PSSR. AMD FSR3 and NVIDIA DLSS 3 are now also supported on the PC.
