The first part of The Sinking City is reissued in the form of a remaster in a rebuilt form with fresh features.
While Frogwares is working on The Sinking City 2, the first part should now shine again in a new light. Today The Sinking City Remastered was officially announced. This is a drilled version of the original game based on the Unreal Engine 5.
Accordingly, you can look forward to a more attractive graphic as well as new features. Above all, this includes the new photo mode, as you can also title it from other titles. And the best thing about it: the upgrade to the remaster is even free of charge for buyers of the original game. Otherwise, you will also be able to buy the remaster of the action horror game separately for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S if you want to get in the mood for the second part.
Previously, an age classification for The Sinking City Remastered had already become public in Taiwan, which is why the project also circulated before its official announcement in the rumor mill. Thanks to the use of the Unreal Engine 5, there are now 4K textures and improved reflections. From a technical point of view, DLSS, FSR and TSR UpScaling are also supported. The environments have been optimized and there are fresh details and objects to discover. Only: There is still no concrete release date for the moment!
