If you are looking for a hearty real-time strategy again in the style of Command & Conquer, you can currently get an idea of Tempest Rising.
On the occasion of the Steam Next festival there is now a playable demo from Tempest Rising. This is a real-time strategy game by Knights Peak and Slipgate IronWorks, which will later be released via the Publishing Label 3D Realms by Saber Interactive and which is most likely to compare with the classic strategy franchise command & conquer from the 90s and 2000s lets.
The publication of the full version of Tempest Rising is scheduled for April 24, 2025 via Steam, but you can currently collect deeper impressions there. From now on, the trial version is available by March 10, 2025.
The demo includes the first two missions from each of the two single player campaigns of the later full version. An alternative history of 1997 awaits you thematically, in which the Cuba crisis was shown for the nuclear war. In the meantime, the factions Global Defense Forces (GDF) and Tempest Dynasty (Dyn) face each other. Each of these factions has unique units and accordingly strategies.
In addition to the campaign insight, there is also the PVE skirmish mode with three cards in the demo; In this you can also compete against the AI in battles detached from the single player missions.
Tempest Rising will later cost 39.99 euros in the Standard Edition, for ten euros more you will receive the Deluxe Edition. The latter includes a 7-day early access for a full game, a digital artbook and the complete digital soundtrack with 43 tracks.
