The first players of Civilization VII are critical of the strategy game - now Firaxy reacts and praises improvement.
Officially, Sid Meier's Civilization VII only appears in the new week on Tuesday, but buyers of the more expensive Deluxe Edition have been able to get started five days earlier. Accordingly, there are already first feedback on Steam, and they are more of a mixing. Just under 50 percent, the new strategy epic currently describes as positive, overall the assessment of the title is only "balanced" - and at least over 6,000 reviews.
Of course, this has not been hidden from developers Firaxy, who has now commented on the early feedback. Accordingly, one is aware of the criticized points and want to quickly improve. You focus on three important areas of the game, starting with the strongly criticized user interface.
"Our highest priority is to improve the UI. We need some time to evaluate all your feedback, but some areas that we have already taken a closer look are a more intuitive design of the UI interactions, the improvement of card reactions [... ] and more.
PC players sometimes don't leave good hair on the user interface. This is sometimes referred to as "very poor". A user explains that they feel the worst way after porting from the console. Overall, this is an absolute step backwards. Firaxis seems to be able to contribute to a certain extent if the revision of this area is now called the top priority.
According to the current planning status, Firaxy will probably publish the update to version 1.1.0 in March, which will bring many quality-of-life improvements, better AI balancing, adjustments to diplomacy and additional bug fixes.
