Something different more often. Sony calls a new beta program for which players can register. The program should include both PlayStation 5 and the PC.
In the future, Sony wants to give you the opportunity to test both new games and other new features at an early stage, of course without the guarantee of participation. The new PlayStation Beta program should already be used today with oneRegistration phasestart. Registration gives you the chance of gaining access and giving feedback early.
The beta program is quite comprehensive. The game betas for PlayStation 5 are included, but also for the PC in different levels of development. In addition, new functions of the PlayStation console, app functions and changes to the website are also included. In other words, you can try everything that comes (and what there will be a beta for).
There are basically no limits, unless you have built crap and violations or restrictions are registered in your account. Basically, you only need an account with the PlayStation Network and have to answer a few questions when registering. However, there is no guarantee with the respective betas that you will be taken into account, so you end up with it only in the lottery. Furthermore, the participation in Betas is of course subject to corresponding confidentiality agreements, that is, you must not pass on any information to third parties.
Further information on the PlayStation Beta program along with a fairly extensive FAQ can be found on theRegistration website, which is now already functional, as well as in the currentPlayStation-Blog.
There it says: "Over the years, many of you have participated in various beta programs by Sony Interactive, which helped us to offer players all over the world the best possible gaming experience. And we are really grateful for your participation.
Therefore I am happy to be able to introduce you to the beta program of the PlayStation initiative. It is a simpler and more consolidated way for gamers to register for a variety of PlayStation experiences to participate in future PlayStation betas. "
