News-Mewgenics: Binding-of-ISAAC creator publishes completely known trailers

Since 2012, Mewgenics has been more and less in development. The project of Edmund McMillen, the creative head behind The Binding of Isaac, is now on the home stretch. At some point in 2025 the title should finally appear.

AtIn essence, it is a round tactics game with massive roguelite elements. But of course, Edmund McMillen does not stop it and sets you a complete cat breeding mechanics. This is also the focus of the new trailer for Mewgenics, which the creative head has now published.

Gameplay shows the video only to a very limited extent, instead it is a live action trailer with a surprising amount of story. A couple cannot fulfill their desire to have children, so it adopts two cats. However, the balls of fur are very fertile and start to multiply immediately.

What follows is a wild mix of feces and koitus, within a very short time the entire house of the couple degenerates into a rabid. The cats are thrown out, but within a very short time the gambling and are even presented as the devil itself.

Up to this point, you only saw real actors in cat costumes, then follows a long list of cat names, accompanied by gameplay. However, they are just tiny clips that show the cats in all their diversity. They are muscular, weak, bloody, stunned, mutilated, colored, black and white, spotted and so much more.

Of course there are also a lot of gore, it's a game from Edmund McMillen. Because even the smallest mistakes in the round-based tactics battles make death. In addition to the diverse cat breeding, child abuse and suicide also play a role, we already know that from The Binding of Isaac.

Edmund McMillen promises over 200 hours of playing time for Mewgenics, with over 800 items, six classes and more than 200 enemies does not seem absurd. The game will appear on Steam at some point in 2025.
