News-La Quimera: Former metro developers are working on sci-fi shooters

Ooopsi, some international colleagues have apparently slipped out of an article prematurely. Former employees of 4A Games (Metro) apparently work on a new shooter.

That could be good news. A bunch of former 4a Games employees, well known through the Metro series, has set up a new studio with Reburn and is working on a new shooter. It is apparently called La Quimera (Spanish for Chimera) and offers sci-fi action with strong Killzone-Vibes.

At least this emerges from articles, which apparently slips through Embargo and are now mostly offline again, but the Internet is quick and does not forget. The same applies to the first trailer, which has also disappeared into the vastness of the network, not without some screenshotsResetto leave that look quite interesting.

The story is said to come from Nicolas Winding Refn, which is more or less known as an author and director (Drive, Walhalla Rising). It allegedly puts you into a Latin American metropolis of the future, which mixes exoticism and Latino folklore with weapons and technology of the future. The game is said to be solo or cooperatively with up to four players, but still put the narrative in the foreground.

The leaked images show hybrids from humans and machines, but also something like the military or mercenary and potential resistance fighter, so that you can definitely guess what awaits you in terms of content. The keyart reminds a little of Crysis and indicates a PC version via Steam. It is apparently still open whether the game will also come for consoles.

The Reburn team currently has 110 employees, many of whom have previously worked on 4a Games, which raises a little question whether there has been a major emigration, also in view of the fact that Metro 4 has been long in coming.

Based on the fact that articles and trailers for La Quimera have already leaked through, an official announcement should already be done in the bellows.
