Fortnite Festival has also enjoyed greater popularity among musical gamers since its launch a little over a year ago. Now this spin-off is being expanded to include a relevant feature: local multiplayer co-op.
It has now been announced that such a local co-op mode will soon be available on the Xbox and PlayStation consoles. According to Epic Games, the starting signal for this will be given at the beginning of the new week. It is not yet clear whether Switch, PC and Mobile will also be expanded to include a co-op feature at a later date. In any case, you can get started on PlayStation and Xbox from January 14, 2025.
While the local co-op mode is certainly a great feature for couch gamers with friends, there is also a caveat worth mentioning. Special controllers for drums and microphones are not initially supported in co-op; Here players are dependent on the regular console controller.
The feature is one of the next big updates for Fortnite Festival and has therefore been hinted at several times before. The rumor mill also says that there will also be a big collaboration with Hatsune Miku in the future, which will bring several jam tracks for Fortnite Festival.
