Cities: Skylines celebrates its 10th anniversary - and that's why there are all kinds of new content for part 1 and also part 2.
Paradox Interactive celebrates the 10th anniversary of Cities: Skylines, because on March 10, 2025 the first part of the urban development simulation was published for the PC and ensured the success of the success story. Since then, the Finnish developer studio has brought the hit on consoles, released 60 different extensions and finally published the sequel of Cities: Skylines II in 2023.
The big birthday is of course to be celebrated and the makers do this with a number of content for both cities: Skylines and Cities: Skylines II. For the sequel, the large anniversary patch and a selection of new parks and buildings are available on March 18, 2025. In addition, three Creator Packs and three radio stations for the release are intended for this day, which are available individually or as bundle. Buyers of the game Ultimate Edition receive these packages at no additional costs. According to the official information, are included:
- "Dragon Gate", a content package inspired by Chinese architecture and market neighborhoods.
- Leisure facilities, including new amusement facilities, parks and recreation areas
- "Mediterranean Heritage"The building includes inspired by the architecture from the 15th to 19th centuries in Spain, Italy, Portugal and southern France.
- Atmospheric piano, jade-roadandFeelgood-Funk-Radio station
A week later it continues on March 25, 2025, because then a separate and free anniversary patch for the original Cities will follow: Skylines. The update adds dynamic parks to the game, the appearance of which changes with the different extensions. In addition, two more creator packs and a radio station are planned for this day, namely:
- "Emerging Downtown", a package that focuses on bringing a variety of building sizes and styles into the lively city centers.
- "Countryside", which adds a selection of rural charm, from small town libraries and food markets to picturesque, modest town halls.
- "The Harvest Harmony Radio Station", A selection of country music that fits every rural construction project.
Finally, there will be a free-to-play weekend on Steam from March 20 to 24, 2025.
