"A difficult decision"

Warner Bros. "Strategic Changes" indicates as the reason for the cuts.

The company had to announce weak figures as early as 2024, not least because both multiversus and the Harry Potter gamedid not achieve the hoped -for success.

Now it is said in a statementMy city:

We admire the passion of the three teams very much and thank all employees for their contributions. As difficult as it is today, we continue to focus on the production of high-quality games for our passionate fans, which are developed by our world-class studios, and look forward to leading our game business to profitability and growth again by 2025 and beyond .

To close Monolith, Warner Bors is said. Further, it was a tough decision:

The development of the Wonder Woman video game from Monolith is not continued. We had hoped to be able to offer the players and fans the best possible experience for the iconic figure, and unfortunately this is no longer possible in the context of our strategic priorities. This is another difficult decision because we acknowledge the long history of Monolith in which they offered their fans great experiences through fantastic games.

For Gamestar editor-in-chief Heiko Klinge, this is also a very personal loss:

We lose something special

Warner Games Montreal employees were only released in December. In January 2025, the President of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment resigned after 12 years, and he still executes the office until April.

Multiversus will be discontinued from May 30, 2025, the game is no longer available in the shops. Offline access should continue to be possible for owners.
