The big finale of The Boys is approaching! Of course, for the final confrontation between Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) and Homelander (Antony Starr) in season 5, some cannon fodder is needed and could be involvedthe Teenage Kixcome into play.
At least that's what new photos promise, which pretty clearly hint at an appearance by the superhero team. In fact, the Teenage Kix were mentioned several times throughout The Boys, but were never on camera in person.
Wer sind die Teenage Kix in The Boys?
The group of young superheroes in Garth Ennis' comics is a parody of comparable teams from Marvel and DC - for example the Young Avengers or Teen Titans. In the universe of the TV series were, among othersA-Train(Reggie Franklin),Sister Sage(Susan Heyward),Popclaw(Brittany Allen) andMesmer(Haley Joel Osment) once part of Teenage Kix.
Photos from the filming of the fifth season now show the Kix mobile and the (probably) current members of Teenage Kix can be seen prominently on it. This suggests that the young Supes will actually appear in person in the final season.

Another set photo also confirms a plot point that season four was already setting up: Homelander planned to put normal people (including Supes) who contradicted his personal vision in re-education camps. There we could also see again the part of the boys who were captured towards the end of Season 4 - all except Butcher and Starlight (Erin Moriaty).
What does the future hold for The Boys?
Season 5 of The Boys will premiere on Prime Video sometime in 2026- an exact release date has not yet been set. Before that it will take place in 2025continues, while we are already working hard on new spin-offs.
The first is likely to be Vought Rising - a prequel series that takes place in the 50s and brings back Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles) and Stormfront (Aya Cash).
