Star Wars: Skeleton Crew was postponed at short notice - but forward!

The force is with the Star Wars fans.Because the universe, or rather the management at Disney, have heard you and are releasing the latest series replenishment from a galaxy far, far away a day earlier than originally planned.

Instead of December 3rd as originally planned, Skeleton Crew will now start on December 2nd, 2024. At least in the USA, because there the series starts on Monday evenings at prime television time. German viewers, on the other hand, still have untilTuesday morning, 3:00 a.mbe patient.

At the start of the series there is not just one episode, but a 76-minute double episode. The remaining six episodes will appear every Wednesday morning at 3:00 a.m. until January 14, 2025.

What is Skeleton Crew about?

Skeleton Crew comes with a completely different focus than most previous Star Wars series, becauseit is primarily a children's series. The students Fern, Neel, Wim and KB make a mysterious discovery on their home planet. They find a buried Jedi spaceship in a forest.

As children are, the four of them can't keep their hands off their findaccidentally jump with the ship to the other end of the galaxy. Together the gang must search for a way back home while taking on dangerous space pirates and other villains.

They are accompanied on their journey by the mysterious power user Jod Na Nawood (Jude Law) and a friendly droid named SM 33. The series takes place after the events ofat the time of the New Republic.

By the way, the announcement of Skeleton Crew's postponement doesn't really come as a surprise. The previous two series projects Ahsoka and The Acolyte were brought forward by half a day or a whole day shortly before their planned start date.
