A new year at Samsung not only means the release of new Galaxy S flagships, but also the next generation of mid-range cell phones within the Galaxy A series.
Like the portalWinfuturereports, three Galaxy smartphones are said to be on the road that can be found in this category. The devices are the Galaxy A26, Galaxy A36 and Galaxy A56.
- The price of the three new Samsung phones should hardly change compared to the respective predecessors. In the basic version, the Galaxy A26 is 300 euros, while the Galaxy A36 starts at 380 euros. The most expensive is the Galaxy A56, which starts at 480 euros.
- All three models should celebrate their release in early March. However, a precise release date is still pending.
Galaxy A26 / A36 / A56: All common technical data
The Galaxy A26, A36 and A56 may have different model names, but the devices have some similarities - even away from the operating system, which will probably be Android 15 with OneUI 7 in all three cell phones.
- According to the leak, the three different Galaxy models all installed the identical display. Here Samsung relies on the "Super Amoled" panel in a size of 6.7 inches. The refresh rate is said to be at 120 Hertz, the resolution is estimated at 2,340 x 1,080 pixels.
- The main camera is also the same. In all three cases, a 50 megapixel resolution (f/1.8) with optical image stabilizer is used. The battery capacity for all galaxy models mentioned is 5,000 mAh.
Galaxy A26 / A36 / A56: The differences
Here, however, the clear similarities already stop. For example, another chip is always installed in the used SoC.
- The Galaxy A26 receives the in-house Exynos 1380, which works based on six efficiency cores and two performance cores with a clock rate of up to 2.4 GHz.
- On the other hand, a Qualcomm chip is installed on the Galaxy A36. The Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 is also an eight-core, which, however, is divided into four efficiency and performance cores.
- Samsung returns to an Exynos chip for the Galaxy A56. The Exynos 1580 relies on the same core layout as the Qualcomm brand, but can clock up to 2.91 GHz.
The Winfuture Leak does not give any precise information on the memory, but it should be the usual amounts of 128 and 256 GB. Only the Galaxy A26 can come up with an additional microSD slot.
Speaking of memory:The 128 GB variants of the Galaxy A26 and Galaxy A36 are equipped with six GB of RAM. All other models (including the basic model for the Galaxy A56) use eight GB of RAM.
This does not seem to confirm a leak, which spoke partly of 12 GB at the end of the year.
The wide -angle camera is identical between the Galaxy A26 and Galaxy A36 with eight megapixels (f/2.2), but with the Galaxy A56 there is a small upgrade to 12 megapixels (f/2.2).
In the third and last lens on the back and the selfie camera, the ratio is exactly the other way around:
- The macrolinse of the Galaxy A26 is the only one with a resolution of 2 megapixels (f/2.4), the other two Samsung models rely on 5 megapixels (f/2.4).
- With 13 megapixels, the front camera of the Galaxy A26 receives the slightly higher resolution lens, with 12 MP on the Galaxy A36 and Galaxy A56. For this, the selfie camera is integrated as a "punch hole", while the cheapest model is still on the classic notch.

According to the leak, individual special features are to be taken into account in the Galaxy smartphones. So the Galaxy A56 is probably the only of the three models that rely on a metal frame. The 3.5 mm jack connection, which is on board for the other two Galaxy phones, is missing here.
The devices should be presented on March 2 - Exactly one day before the start of the most important mobile phone fair of the year: From March 3 to March 6th, the MWC 2025 (Mobile World Congress) runs in Barcelona.
