Rollable display: Lenovo presents futuristic notebook at CES

There are a lot of new notebooks to see at CES, but reallyinnovative new productsare rare. An exception is the ThinkBook Plus Gen6 Rollable AI from Lenovo. As the somewhat awkward-sounding name suggests, it is a notebook with a roll-out display.

The display is normally 14 inches in size, but can be expanded to 16.7 inches at the touch of a buttonextend upwards. This looks really impressive and a little unreal in the pictures.

With such a complex construction, you are probably asking yourself the question of durability. Lenovo employees stated that the lid hinge is designed to withstand at least 30,000 opening and closing operations. The display should at least be rolled up and down20.000-malbe possible.

The star of the ThinkBook Plus Gen6 Rollable AI is clearly the display, as is the rest of the hardwareless spectacular. Lenovo uses a 1 TB SSD for storage, plus 32 GB of DDR5 RAM. When it comes to processors, Lenovo relies on Intel's Series 2 Core Ultra CPUs with their integrated Arc graphics unit.

In terms of connectivity, Lenovo only gives the device two Thunderbolt 4 ports, but at least oneWiFi-7-Module. According to the manufacturer, the battery capacity is 66 Wh.

How much does the fun cost?

There are different reports regarding prices. The Verge speaks of3.499 US-Dollar(around 3,390 euros) and availability sometime in the first quarter, but it is unclear which configuration is meant.
