There are rumors circulating on the internet that you are...You can increase the probability of getting rare cards if you pay attention to certain features of your booster packs. We have researched and can assure you:Don't fall for it!
The rumor persists
That's what it's all about: When you purchase a new booster pack in Pokémon TCG Pocket, you are placed in a spin grid where you have to choose between 15 copies of your selected booster type. It often happens that one of these packs has a bent corner.
Now claim on the Internet and alsoMany users are adamant that this visual flaw is more likely to lead to rare content.
While there are some statistics to confirm this phenomenon, there are at least as many to refute it. So what's the deal with the supposed trick? In short: nothing!
An experiment provides proof
The British content creatorPokéNinaconducted an experiment to test at what point in time it is determined which cards are included in each booster pack.
She bought a Charizard booster for this, but hasn't opened a pack in the rotating grid yet. She then checked a friend's account to see whether a new miracle choice was already available for the pack in her profile. That was the case.
Since you can see which cards the other person drew in the last booster in the Miracle Choice, all PokéNina had to do was check whether she now received the same cards that are shown in the Miracle Choice. That too has happened.
This proves that it is already decided which cards you will receive before you have selected a pack within the grid. If you don't believe PokéNina, there are several other people who have conducted similar experiments. For example, the Australian YouTuberBropings.
So you don't have to worry about choosing your pack and you can simply save yourself time, even if you lose some of the thrill. At least this is still available in the miracle elections, where there is a 20 percent chance of getting the card you want most every time.
