Sometimes things can't go fast enough. Especially when a fresh update has been released and you are far too weak for the new area. This is probably the case not only for us, but also for many of yougo.
The new update Feybreak was released on December 23, 2024 and, in addition to a large island, of course also brought new pals and challenges into the game. But they have it all. On the new island you will find pals from level 50 and higher who will tear you apart according to every trick in the book if you are too weak.
So that you don't have to close the game again in disappointment because the path to the new area is simply too long, we have a tip for you.
Increase XP rate
This is made possible by a simple setting in your world options. There you can simply adjust the XP rate. By default, the controller for this is set at the lower end in the 1 range. You can simply turn it up to full speed and set it to 20 without any hurdles.
Here you can see where you can find the setting:
In the main menu click on “Start Game”. You cannot change the setting while the game is running.
Once you've done this, of course you won't level up just like that, but any experience gain is increased many times over, so you'll get a lot of experience points just by standing around in your camp. While we were getting XP in the low double digits before the change, we now get high three to low four digit amounts.
A few tips for leveling up
Of course, you can also increase your XP gain by actively playing instead of standing around in your camp. We recommend that you explore the open world and catch all the Pals that jump into your spheres.
Fighting against boss monsters or the new Predator Pals can also be worthwhile here. The latter also drop the coveted Predator Cores, which you need to craft the new cat weapon. Cat gun? You read that right! The Mewomere also came into play as part of the Terraria co-op with the update:
As soon as you are level 45 or even 50, you should have fewer problems on the new island and be able to fight the new Pals better. However, you can also visit the island itself. But as I said, you probably won't see much land below level 45.
Finally, of course, I would like to say: Of course you can also experience the game at your leisure without directly chasing the next level. But if you're curious, this tip will save you a few hours of grinding.
