Do you remember when Aloy saved Mother's Heart by throwing explosive hot dogs at a machine herd? Or how she convinced the villain that too much sunbathing is bad for your skin? Before you get irritateddrive up (or our recentrolls around): Yes, LEGO Horizon Adventures takes someFreedom with the story.
The building block adventure tells its own story about Aloy, Rost and Co. and moves away from the original. This has several advantages: On the one hand, we don't know what is happening, and on the other hand, the action can depend entirely on the personabsurd and lighthearted LEGO humorlet in.
This means that even the smallest aspiring players should feel right at home here - also because the difficulty can be adjusted in detail in an exemplary manner. Aloy's latest adventure also gets surprisingly creative when it comes to gameplay. We haven't seen LEGO games this well thought out and fun for a long time.
Suits you if...
- you love games that mess around and don't take themselves too seriously.
- you are fans of LEGO and the world of Horizon.
- you are looking for a co-op game for the whole family.
Doesn't suit you if...
- you can't do anything with silliness and the typical LEGO humor.
- you want playfully varied levels.
- you are looking for a real challenge.
PSN mandatory and PC test
To play LEGO Horizon Adventures on PC, you need a PSN account that you link to Steam. The game cannot be started without it.
Since we won't be able to try out the PC implementation of LEGO Horizon Adventures until it's released on November 14th, this test is based on playing through the PS5 version. We'll take a look at the PC version later and add the (technical) special features here for you.
The humor is great, but not everything
The starting point is very similar to that of Horizon Zero Dawn: Aloy is found as an orphan by mother Teersa and given to Rost, who raises her. As soon as she is old enough, Aloy wants to know who her mother was and where she comes from. While in the original she puts herself through the “test,” she comes into itno more about it. Because evil cultists invade the village of Mother Heart, destroy it and kidnap Teersa.
