Finally Friday! The weekend is just around the corner and it has some really cool games in store. Instead of wasting your time at Christmas markets with overly expensive mulled wine, fill your game libraries with free games. Steam and Epic Games have a few free titles for you over the weekend,Some of which you can even keep!
Highlight #1: Cities Skylines 2
Genre: Building strategy |Release: 24 October 2023 |developer: Colossal Order
WithThe successor to an acclaimed city building simulation has been released. As in the predecessor, you do everything you can to gradually transform your settlement into a metropolis. You ensure a functioning infrastructure, expand the transport network and design various urban areas.
Basically there is a decent city builder behind it,, which overshadow the gaming experience.
Cities Skylines 2 had a difficult time when it was released, performance problems were increasing and the community that loved the first part so much was dissatisfied. Even a year later, little has changed, at least in terms of the rating on Steam. The rating there is currently a sobering “balanced” at 53 percent.
This free weekend is a perfect opportunity for you to test out whether Cities Skylines suits you, whether you can overlook its flaws, or whether you'd rather just leave it alone.
Hightlight #2: Rainbow Six: Siege
Genre: Multiplayer-Shooter |Release: 2015 |developer: Ubisoft
In the tactical first-person shooterthrow yourself into the fray in 5-on-5 matches. The defender team takes advantage of the environment by reinforcing walls and building barricades to protect themselves from the attacking team. This in turn does everything it can to break down these defense lines.
The special thing about Rainbow Six is the operator system. You choose from a variety of characters with unique skills, weapons and gadgets to jump into battle.
In recent years, the shooter has been expanded with regular updates to include additional operators, maps and various events. Crossplay was finally added with the launch of Operation Collision Point, so you can play with your console friends even if you play on Steam.
