Apparently we can expect spring 2025. One of them is most likely the iPhone SE 4. Like the platformMacRumorswrites, Barclays analyst Tom O'Malley claims to have found out a time frame for the release of the compact Apple smartphone.
Accordingly, the iPhone SE 4 should be on dealer shelves in March 2025. This date at least coincides with the release of the predecessors, which were released in March with one exception:
- iPhone SE 3: March 18, 2022
- iPhone SE 2: 24. April 2020
- iPhone SE: March 24, 2016
However, hardly anyone dares to give concrete price information. It is quite possible that Apple will follow the previous pricing of the SE models. If this is the case, the price will be between 520 and 600 euros, depending on the storage size.

Apple Intelligence
According to Apple, the manufacturer will launch Apple Intelligence in the EU in April 2024. The iPhone SE 4 is ready almost on time for launch and, according to rumors, will also benefit from Apple Intelligence. The main reason for this is the supposedly installed chip.
Powerful chip
Instead of an outdated chip from the previous generation, according to Mark Gurman, the iPhone SE 4 will come onto the market with the A18 chip, which was newly launched in September, including 6 or even 8 GB of RAM. Apple first used this chip in the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus.
This not only means compatibility with Apple's intelligence, but also the still small number of triple-A games ported specifically to iOS.
The notch is celebrating its comeback
The iPhone SE 4 is said to be strongly based on the iPhone 14:

Apple will almost certainly use USB-C instead of Lightning for the SE model. If the rumors are to be believed, the new action button will be on the left side instead of the mute switch.
Camera
The fourth generation of the Special Edition is said to be similar to the iPhone 14, but not in all areas. Instead of two cameras, the iPhone SE 4 will still only have one camera.
To achieve this, Apple increased the resolution from 12 to 48 megapixels (IMX503, 1/2.55-inch sensor, aperture f/1.8). It's quite possible that the iPhone SE 4 will also benefit from the new 24-megapixel mode of the newer iPhone models.
Connectivity
NWith WiFi and Bluetooth 5.3, Apple could install its first 5G modem. So far, the iPhones have been equipped with modems from Qualcomm.
However, this is contradicted by the fact that Apple has extended the delivery contract with Qualcomm until 2026 in order to possibly have enough time for the production of the new chip.
It is still unclear whether and what improvements Apple's 5G model will bring to consumers.
