According to rumors, that shouldcome. The A model is said to say goodbye to the now iconic camera talks, which is replaced by a tiny increase.
The latest leak comes from Leaker Evan Blass, who had a good hit rate in the past (via9to5Google).
Im Detail:
- The camera only protrudes minimally from the back and reminds of the early days of the smartphones, as the camera and case formed a tarpaulin area.
- Google probably installs two lenses again: a main and an ultra-wave angle camera.
- According to the leaks, the blue violet color with the name »Iris« is also new.
In comparison, the thickness of the device should change slightly despite the camera. Accordingly, the latest A model 8.6 instead of 8.9 millimeters will measure. It is exactly 152.1 x 72.7 x 8.6 millimeters.
Google Pixel 9a: These are the preliminary specs
Some information has already been leaked about the specifications of the smartphone. The new A model with the current tensor G4 processor, 8.0 GB of RAM and at least 128 GB of internal memory (UFS 3.1) comes typical for Google. With the display, the manufacturer will probably make minor changes.
Apparently the display measures 6.3 inches (instead of 6.1 inches) and comes to a FullHD+ resolution, supports 60 to 120 Hertz and reaches a maximum brightness of up to 2,700 nits.
On the back we find the camera mentioned in the introduction with the following specifications:
- Main camera: 48 megapixels, f/1.7, 25mm, 1/2.0 inches
- Ultraoric angle camera: 13 megapixels, f/2.2, 1/3.1 inches
- Selfie-camera: 13 megapixels, f/2.2, 20mm, 1/3.1 Zoll
As usual from Google, Pixel 9a offers access to a variety of AI-based functions for photography, video and processing. However, Zoom Enhanced and Video Boost are reserved for the Pro models.
A 5100 mAh battery is probably slumbering in the housing, which can be wired with up to 23 watts and 7.5 watts loaded wirelessly. So far, no leaker has lost a word about Magsafe.
In addition to Face Unlock, Google apparently continues to focus on an optical fingerprint sensor during the biometric unlocking. According to previous information, Bluetooth 5.4 and Wi-Fi 6e are available in terms of connectivity.
The Pixel 9a is scheduled for a price from 549 euros in Marchcome onto the market. In the next few weeks it will be evident whether the rumors come true. Until then, as always, they must be enjoyed with caution.
