Fallout: Season 2 has started filming and the ghoul is looking forward to his return

Walton Goggins is happy to be back in front of the camera as the Ghoul and probably also as Cooper Howard.

With the second seasons of Arcane and Fallout, the year 2024 had two excellent TV series in gaming universes to offer. And it won't stay that way: While the LoL series is in the form ofwill continue, Fallout is currently in the making for a second season.

Filming for the new episodes recently began and there are now the first signs of life from an audience favorite.

Back in the saddle

Of course it's about the ghoul, a former actor who has been fighting his way through the post-apocalypse for 200 years. The morally questionable character is played by Walton Goggins (The Accountant, The Hateful Eight), who now reports with a post on Instagram:

Under a photo of himself wearing the elaborate ghoul mask, the actor writes:

Back in the saddle #Two. Damn, it feels great putting this skin on. I do this for the love of the game.

We've known for a while that filming has started. At the end of October, Leslie Uggams, the actress playing Vault Warden Betty, revealed.

What do we know about season 2?

Even though filming has already started, it may still be a while before we see the new episodes. If the schedule looks similar to the first season, season 2 may not appear until summer 2026.

The end of season 1 gives a rough direction for the continuation of the story and provides some important clues (Beware of spoilers: Don't read on if you haven't watched all the episodes of the series yet):

  • It's going to New Vegas. In the final scene we see Lucy's father Hank (Kyle MacLachlan) arrive in town. Lucy (Ella Purnell) and the ghoul are probably hot on his heels.
  • After the battle at the end of the season, the Brotherhood of Steel controls the new energy source that can power the entire ruins of Los Angeles. Maximus (Aaron Moten) will be hailed as a hero and likely made a knight.
  • Mister House will play a role in some way,.
  • We will see a Deathclaw, one of the most infamous Fallout monsters. That was.

There was recently another update on the Fallout series: As Variety and Deadline reported, Macaulay Culkin will also appear in the second season. You probably know the actor as Kevin from the film Home Alone. It is not yet known what role Culkin will play. But apparently he willcrazy, brilliant guysembody.
