Battlefield 7 has to convince with gameplay scenes, not through words, says the chief developer

There are no official screenshots for Battlefield 7, which is why the predecessor 2042 is shown here.

Afterthe former fans of the series are quite skeptical. The chief developer of the next part has now given hope to some players.

The Youtuber and Streamer Enders have not found many positive words about Battlefield in recent years. It was all the more surprised when the chief developer David Sirland vonreported to him.

Not only did he react to his posts at X, the co -responsible for Battlefield 4 talked to him on Twitch for almost 20 minutes - and, in his words, even gave some hope of the always critical end.

What happened?

Industry insider Tom Henderson reported a few days ago that some content creators. Enders then asked his community several times whether he was also invited by EA.

Due to his open and detailed criticism of the last Battlefield games, he did not assume that ever with the development studio DICE and divided this into X. The otherwise rather reserved David Sirland answered his post: Be so safe.

However, the chief developer did not leave it and answered numerous questions from the community in the post office. The following statement was particularly promising for players:

I think I have already said this about a Battlefield title - it is necessary to convince with played gameplay - not through words or promises. Everything in its time.

As if that weren't unusual enough, Sirland showed himself to recognize in the next Twitch stream from Enders in chat. In this way, the two talked about and talked about features from the past parts that have been particularly well received by fans. In oneVideo on the topicsays Enders:

After the conversation, the general feeling was ... I somehow gave hope. And this word doesn't leave my mouth so quickly.

These are important words for one of the biggest critics in the series, but as Sirland said - promises are not enough. So the CEO of EA is last year, when the reactions to his big words were not particularly positive.

Incidentally, the Battlefield veteran participated in some branches such as Battlefield 4, but at 2042 it was not employed at DICE. Sirland has been back since December 2022 and is working around number 7 as chief developer.
