While we still have to wait a little for the first moving pictures of Avatar: Fire and Ash, the first lucky ones were already able to watch the current version of the complete film. Like the director James Cameron in oneInterview with the New Zealand news site Stuffrevealed, these were particularly convinced of the emotional quality of the film.

"The most emotional and maybe best of the three previous films"

The interview with Stuff was actually about the jobs that are to be created by the production of Avatar 4 and 5. Of course, there was also talk about the hotly expected third part, which is to be released this year. Cameron that post-production was still in full swing, but the first people could already see the sci-fi film in the current version:

I showed [Avatar 3] a few selected people and the feedback was that it was definitely the most emotional and maybe the best of the three previous films. (...) The work of the actors is exceptional. It's pretty heartbreaking in a good way.

However, Cameron does not reveal who the lucky ones are. However, it can be assumed that the people come from the environment. If this is true, the statements must be enjoyed with caution, but it can be assumed that the film will be at least significantly more emotional than the two predecessors.

No generative AI: In addition, Cameron once again confirmed that despite the extremely large proportion of computer effects, no generative AI was used. This is surprising because it has been on the board of the British AI company Stabilityai since 2024. This is best known for the text-to-picture-KI stable diffusion.

Around 1,000 people are currently working on the completion of Avatar: Fire and Ash. The sci-fi film is scheduled to start on December 17, 2025 in the cinema. Accordingly, it shouldn't take too long before we get the first trailer served. Part 4 and 5 have also roughly designed Cameron and could raise the bar again.
