App really turns anything you want into Lego building instructions

WithBrick My Worldbecamevia Kickstarterfunded an app that allows you to scan objects in the real world and turn them into instructions for terminal blocks. What seems like a dream come true for many unfortunately comes with a costly catch.

The campaign: The app comes from the Czech Iva Papoušková and eight other people. The aim of the campaign was 4,737 euros, but this has now been more than exceeded. Although the actionuntil December 12, 2024is running, the team has already raised over 64,000 euros to make their project a reality.

What can Brick My World do?The principle is simple. You choose an object in the real world and scan it with the app. The app uses this to generate a three-dimensional voxel model, which is then optimized by artificial intelligence and converted into a finished, digital terminal block model.

An algorithm then creates detailed instructions that you can download as a PDF or Ldraw file and use to assemble your desired model.

As the Kickstarter page reveals, even large objects such as boats and even houses can be transformed into terminal block sets. There are also hardly any limits when it comes to the number of stones. The developers present a model of a guinea pig that only has 124 parts.while a dinosaur can make it to a whopping 8,000 blocks.

Unfortunately there is a catch

Huge price: Werthe Kickstarter campaignsupported, can pay a one-time fee of 99 euros and get access to the app for the rest of their life. However, if you still want to wait or have missed the campaign, you have to be prepared for high costs. Now you should be fed up200 euros per yearhave to put on the table in order to be able to generate your own instructions.

Missing stones: Another fact that should at least be pointed out is that you have to buy the individual parts for the models separately. Even if you already have a lot of terminal blocks at home, you will hardly be able to avoid getting more.
