Like the young classic Dwarf Fortress needshardly any graphics to inspire users. Spartan optics and lots of green immediately evoke associations - but the roguelike, which has just been released from Early Access, cooks its own simulation soup with turn-based battles.

Deadside

Genre:Survival-Shooter |Steam-Release:December 5, 2024 |Preis: 25 Euro

Zombie survival ages, but hardly rots:New games with this flavor will also appear in 2024faulig. Not in a negative sense, for example achieveda rating average of over three quarters positive among players on Steam.

You take trips into a hostile game world, fight against AI zombies and other survivors (controlled by real people) and hunt for better equipment. Base building also plays a role and, most importantly, safe zones give you the opportunity to take a breather and trade goods. That certainly strikes a different note than genre pioneers.

The Thing: Remastered

Genre:Survival-Horror |Steam-Release:December 5, 2024 |Preis: 29 Euro

There is the thing, so this The Thing thing.Let's start again: The Thing is a game based on the classic 1982 horror film of the same name. And this survival horror shooter has now been given a fresh remaster.

Legacy of Kain Remastered

Genre:Action |Steam-Release:December 10, 2024 |Preis: 29 Euro

Remaster, the second:Legacy of Kain should appeal to millennials in particular. Two of the games from the series, specifically Legacy of Kain: Soulreaver 1 and 2, have now been re-released as a remaster package on Steam.

Is that worth it?Our author Christian Schwarz experiences this in the test.

Miside

Genre:Psycho-Horror |Steam-Release:December 11, 2024 |Preis: 15 Euro

Apparently psychological horror doesn't always need a dark color palette. The anime story game Miside, celebrated by thousands on Steam, seems more likewith a cute and friendly feel-good atmosphere. First.

When the boundaries between reality and video games blur for the main character, the horror sets in. The first-person perspective is apparently intended to create a stronger sense of first-person. By the way, there is a free demo of Miside on Steam.
