The fastest bug in history

The racing game Big Rigs Over The Road Racing was released in 2003 for the PC. To date, it is considered one of the most unfinished titles that have ever been launched on the market. An example pleasant? The developers have even forgotten to limit the speed for reversing in the source code.

As soon as you put the reverse gear and press on the tube, your truck also accelerates exponentially. So it doesn't take long for you to suddenly reach the completely insane speed of around 11.9 and kilometers per hour. The game acknowledges this performance with a simple one: you won the race.

Only for classification: an undezillion consists of a 1 followed by 66 zeros and corresponds to a thousand decillions. At a speed of 11.9 and vertical km/h, you could cross the entire known universe in less than a second. But pay attention to speed camera, they are everywhere!

Here you can see a rapid Let's Play of the game in which the bug is exploited:

Kirby was on trial to defend Donkey Kong

Nintendo's rosa -colored aller eater once boxed out his monkey in court. Well, that's not the truth. Rather, the origin of the name Kirby is in this story.

In 1984, the Universal Studios sued the Japanese game manufacturer Nintendo, who was still rather unknown internationally. The reason: The newly debut character Donkey Kong is a plagiarism of iconic film monkey King Kong. Nintendo threatened a lot of adversity and a bad outcome of this procedure would have given us a very different video game world.

But Nintendo won. The lawyer, who made this triumph possible, was called John Kirby. The legal representative from Falls Church, Virgina was able to prove in court that Universal said in an earlier procedure against the film studio RKO itself that King Kong was already common good, i.e. can be used freely.

Nintendo got away with it and presented himself extremely gratefully to the lawyer. John Kirby is said to be a sailboat worth $ 30,000Donkey Konghave received. In addition, Shigeru Miyamoto once gave in oneInterviewTo record that the game figure Kirby, invented a few years after Masahiro Sakurai's procedure, was named after the lawyer in question.
