CD project warns of supposed invitations to a beta test forwho are currently circulating.
These are nothing more than a "scam" and "the necessary steps have already been taken to prevent these fraudulent news".
Don't fall into it
"Lately, some community members have recently reported that they were invited to a beta test by The Witcher 4 - that's a scam!"the studio shares with.
"We have taken the necessary steps to prevent these fraudulent news. If you still receive invitations to a beta or stumbling about news, please contact the scam using the tools that are available to you in your e-mail client or on the social media platform you are using."
Should not be a surprise
In view of the fact that The Witcher 4 was officially announced only in December 2024, it should not be a big surprise that this is a scam.
Or, as CD Project puts it: "Remember: Professional monster hunters do not fall for scams. They see through and succumb!"
Apart from that, if you get something like this from nothing, always look at the official channels or look for whether a beta is announced. Especially if you have never registered for it before.
