Subnautica 2 with co-op multiplayer: First Dev-Log starts the journey to the early access and shows how you can explore the mysterous underwater world with up to four friends

Unknown Worlds provides the first detailed information for Subnautica 2. To say it in the language of Subnautica: We dive deep today and start the way to the early access. Of course, real gameplay material is important for this starting shot.

Welcome on board! Anthony Gallegos, chief designer of Subnautica 2, shows you the first insights into Subnautica 2 and the underwater adventure, which you can expect later this year.

Subnautica 2 will be available on Steam, Epic Games and the Windows Store on a still unknown date this year. In addition, the game should be a game preview on the Xbox Series and inappear.

"In Subnautica 2, the players explore a completely new alien ocean world that is rich in lively biomes, strange creatures and hidden secrets," says the press release. You can play Subnautica 2 alone or with friends and explore the deep blue of the sea. So for the first time there is a multiplayer co-op with up to four players.

"Up to four players can jointly research and work together the huge environments of the ocean to create tools, build bases and face the challenges of a planet on which it is teeming with both beauty and dangers."

As Gallegos explains, the team learned a lot from the previous games and incorporated these experiences in Subnautica. In addition, many veterans work on the game, but there are also a few new people in the team.

Later this year, Unknown Worlds will add new vehicles, manufacturing objects, biomes, leviathane and more. It should be the largest and most ambitious subnautica game. The team also asks you what else you want to see in the second part. You can communicate your suggestions and ideas to Unknown Worlds on the official discord.
