Electronic Arts today has the round-based single player tactic gameofficially announced.
The Bit Reactor project is being developed in cooperation with respawn entertainment and Lucasfilm Games.
In the middle of the clone wars
In Zero Company you take on the role of Hawks. This used to be an officer of the Republic and now leads an elite team.
The game is said to be a "dark and authentic story in the turmoil of the clone wars".
"The zero company is an unconventional group of professionals from all parts of the galaxy who have to add their differences to make almost impossible and to counter a growing threat that will devour the galaxy when nobody stands in their way," it says.
Through the galaxies
The "tactical operations and studies" in the game lead you through the entire galaxy and between the missions you build a base of operations. There you run a network of informants to be one step ahead of your opponents.
"Players and can create and adapt their own group of recruited members, while they also get to know a variety of new, prefabricated star Wars characters," says the publisher. You can also customize the appearance and combat class of Hawks.
The characters in turn build up personal relationships in action, which means that they can unlock new combat synergies.
"Our vision for Star Wars Zero Company is based on columns of the gameplay design that combine the Immersive Galaxy of Star Wars with an exciting, round-based tactics gameplay," says Greg Foertsch, CEO and Creative Director at Bit Reactor. "We want to deliver a game with an original Star Wars story from the time of the clone wars, in which the decisions of the players are significant, with round-based tactical fights as well as an accessible and cinematic presentation."

Star Wars Zero Company will be released on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in 2026.
